Part of the digestive system, chicken gizzards are usually only used in Britain for making stock.

However they are eaten widely around the world and are considered a delicacy in France, Portugal, Japan and many African countries.

Tip: Gizzards need to be boiled for up to 2 hours before cooking as they can be tough otherwise.

Put into a fridge as soon as possible after delivery, and consume within 5 days or before best before date on packaging.

Suitable for home freezing – please freeze on day of delivery and use within 3 months. Defrost fully before cooking.

Boil along with bones and chicken neck for a delicious, traditional chicken stock.

Chicken gizzards can also be served as a dish in their own right.
Boil in water with added onion, carrot, black peppercorns and bay for 2 hours.
Remove the gizzards, dip in beaten egg, coat in seasoned flour, and then fry until golden.

Delivery Information

We use technologically-advanced packaging , which we have put through vigorous testing to ensure your order arrives with you at the correct temperature.

We deliver from Tuesday to Friday, and also on Saturdays for a surcharge. Delivery is charged at £5, with free delivery for all orders of £75.00 and over, except for Saturday deliveries which have a surcharge of £15. Our deliveries are made between 8am and 4pm, and you can choose to have your order delivered to you at home, to your place of work or to another address you choose.
