Rump steak is a less expensive cut than other types of steak but has a deep, satisfying flavour.

Our rump steak is cut from the whole rump of grass fed British or Irish cattle, who are subject to strict welfare controls and grading procedures, which is reflected in the flavour.

Taken from the rump, which is at the rear of the animal. The meat is very lean so can be dry if overcooked.

They are best served rare or medium - cook them quickly and let them rest to avoid them toughening.

Each pack contains 2 x 280g (10oz) rump steaks.

Supplied fresh.

Put into a fridge as soon as possible after delivery, and consume within 5 days or before best before date on packaging

Suitable for home freezing - please freeze on day of delivery and use within 3 months. Defrost fully before cooking.

Remove from fridge 30 minutes before cooking and allow to come to room temperature.

Put oil and seasoning directly on the meat as required, put into a hot pan and cook as desired - best cooked rare or medium as otherwise rump can be tough, as the meat is so lean and can dry out if overcooked.

Remove from heat, cover and leave in a warm place for 10 minutes before serving, to allow the meat to rest.
